Sam Holmes
Sam Holmes, 31, Builder from North Yorkshire. Growing up as a lad in the Dales would always involve plenty of 2 wheeled activity, but it was in 2016 when I focused on Enduro MTB and started riding competitively. Since then I've had some consistent and respectable results in various UK competitions, which led to a supported rider package with Dales Bike Centre and Orange Bikes for 2019. 2019 was a cracking first season on the factory Alpine 6, bringing a nice handful of podiums and a solid 2nd place in the PMBA overall series, so I'm aiming to repeat & hopefully improve on that during 2020.
This year I'm entered in the PMBA series, the 'Ard' events series, some of the BEMBA national series as well as a couple more single venue enduro's.... it's going to be a busy year juggling bike-time, work and new parenting, but I'm hoping to get another successful season under the belt
Racing isn't everything though, MTB is all about getting outdoors, having a craic with your mates and ending up with a pint in your hand afterwards, so most weekends I'm doing exactly that!
