Ok, so that’s round 1 in the bag.
Scotland treated us to exceptional weather, it genuinely felt like we were in the alps rather than the borders of Scotland.
Pro stage were great. Sunday didn’t disappoint, but I don’t think it met the guys expectations. Everyone got through the day in one piece and with a smile on their face but there is without doubt more to come and a hunger to do better.
Joe - great pro stage coming in 12th, really good stage 2 which was later removed from the overall after a rider sustained an injury on stage and they had to cancel it before all the elites had a chance to finish. 3,4 and 5 were fairly steady and then stage 6 he came 10th! Orange Factory Racing’s first stage top 10! Joe finished the day in 32nd
Lachlan - Good pro stage, just outside the top 20 (21st) and then a really consistent rake of other stages, Lachlan was actually leading over Joe going into the last stage, if it wasn’t for crash on Stage 6 their times would have been really tight! ended the day in 45th
Tom - Really struggles with his home race, I’m not sure if its nerves or whether he feels the pressure from living on the high street just down the road from the trails themselves, either way he was happy to get through the day and looking forward to getting stuck into the other races on the calendar. Tom finished in 70th.
