2022 EWS Rnd 2 – Petzen

Well that’s Race 2 in the books and the weather gods seem to be playing ball this year.

An eventful weekend of racing, with everyone has saying how tough the riding is out in Petzen, really challenging rough long descent's coupled with incredible scenery.

Lachlan - Kept it together all weekend and rode consistently, great result on the pro stage coming in 23rd, race day was a little more steady with temperatures getting up to around 35ºc but still a solid finish in 43rd overall.

Joe - A big off in practice didn’t get Joe’s weekend off to the best start, he came away with some pretty big bruising to his shoulder which wasn’t ideal given how rough the tracks were. That being said he still managed a 30th on S2 and a 35th on S5 but it wasn’t enough to help improve his overall result of 65th.

Tom - Fairly steady pro stage for Tom, he was expecting more from himself, I think this led to him pushing too hard on race day and ending up with 3 or 4 crashes. Nothing too serious but it’ll be a race he’s looking forward to forgetting asap.

The guys will now be heading to Canazei for the next round which was a team favourite last year. So fingers crossed for some more great racing.

After 2 rounds both Lachlan and Joe sit inside the top 50 overall, they are in 46th and 41st respectively.
